The Periodic Sales Reports function (Master Menu selection 8, Periodic Reports; sub-selection 9) uses data collected daily to generate sales/accounting reports for monthly, quarterly, and yearly periods. This is a report you use to compute your yearly income for tax purposes (among other things). If there is an error (for instance, due to clerk errors, or theft, or a disk corruption, theft, etc.) you can adjust the information to make your reports match the dollar values you computed manually, e.g. based on actual cash amount in cash-drawers. This screen should be accessed daily to ensure the reports match your cash drawer amounts.
